Got this from my brother as well. It looks like it came from some of his coworkers, but I don’t know where it really originated. I tried it on my PC and it is amazing how much faster Acrobat loads. A few other people at work have also tried it with success.

1. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins
2. Select all of the files and folders except for the following:

• search.api
• search5.api
• EWH32.api
• VDKHome folder

1. Press CTRL-X to Cut these files from the plug_ins directory
2. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Optional
3. Press CTRL-V to Paste the selected files and directories.
